I'm never giving up.

My God is truth.
My God's words are truth.
His words are forever.
I am in Him...

"Let all the earth fear the Lord, let all the people of the world revere Him. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded and it stood firm. The Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of HIS HEART through all generations.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance. From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from His dwelling place He watches all who live on earth- He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.

No king is savcd by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; dispite all it's strength it cannot save.

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.

We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His hol y name.

May your unfailing love rest on us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you."

.

I'm so tired of this world.
God, You are: "Everything I want, everything I hope in, everything my heart cries out for."*

I'm so tired of everything being okay. So tired of living for our own fame. So tired of pleasing me, pleasing man. I just want you... Jesus.

i know i am NOT... i am thankful for Him... my I AM.

I am thoughtful, thankful and amazed as I again realize the WONDEROUS reality.
That is - God, the I AM of all creation, came down to this earth and became a man - took on the form of an I am not. So that I could have eternal redemption. He came - he became flesh and "moved into the neighborhood"*.
So, we "beheld" His glory... We where able to touch Him physically. And spiritually as He bridged the gap we had created between us and God.
We held him. He held us.

This is what I mean when I say that the cross never ceases to amaze me.
This is how we have hope always - Rescue came! Once and for all - forever!
And this is why this blog is called - i am not.
Without you, Jesus, i am nothing - thank you for what you have done for me!

For more on this: see Louie Giglio's book - I am not but I know I AM. If you haven't read it -you need to.

underground

Speaking about Christians around the world who are pursecuted for their faith, TobyMac said -
“These are the people who are changing our world by refusing to lay aside their relationship with Jesus for the mere sake of being accepted.”
And that got me thinking - these people stand up for Jesus under the threat of losing their lives, being imprisioned and tortured, or having their families taken away - and yet they still do it.
How can we, in all the freedom we possess, so easily lay aside our relationship with Jesus for
" the mere sake of being accepted."?
