Wherever you are...

so... maybe no one is reading this... maybe I'm putting these "thoughts" out there available anywhere around this planet through the world wide web... and perhaps not a single soul is reading them... if you are I'd sure like to know. But, regardless of who or where you may be , here goes...

It's Easter today and you might be on top of the world... or you might be struggling to stand tall.
Well, congratulations. Today is the day we celebrate the resurrection. Not only is this event part of the very foundation of our faith, but it also was the place in history where God chose to step into time and take the punishment for every sin of man for all time. He defeated death and took the keys of hell giving us the final victory - in this life and through eternity.

His love knows no boundries! No matter where you are today, or where you have been NOTHING can come between the love of our God and you. He went to great lengths to save us. Rescue came and that is the beautiful thing today, wherever you are...

"...we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom 8:37-39

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Rom5:8

"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory.""Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Cor 15:54-57

Enough

You're my supply/ My breath of life
still more awesome than I know
You're my reward/Worth living for
still more awesome than I know

All of You is more than enough for all of me
For every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You is more than enough

You’re my sacrifice/ Of greatest price
and still more awesome than I know
You’re my coming King/ You're my everything
and still more awesome than I know

More than all I want - More than all I need
You are more than enough for me...

Grace... it is amazing...

Amazing grace! (how sweet the sound)
That sav’d a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev’d;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ’d!

There is something so inspiring, so invigorating about the story portrayed in the movie "Amazing Grace"... I could write a whole ton about everything that William Wilberforce himself accomplished, but for now I'm going to focus on the words of John Newton.

Grace. The whole concept is crazy. It is amazing.

What is the sound of grace? I hear it as the song of the redeemed from all nations, in every tounge singing to the One who gave us grace, which is the: "freely given, unmerited favor and love of God" even as the fithly, broken wretches that we are. It is the story of rescue.
It's what makes us stand in awe that we are so infinitely loved by the pure One. It's the hope of eternity made sure. It's the arms of a loving Father opened wide. It is beauty in a broken world. Light in a fallen world.

Now these words ring out with such power - the power of a fallen soul made whole. The depth of gratitude and love... the one who has been forgiven much loves much...

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace

So, let the words of life, the words of hope, ring true with you tonight...

"Therefore, there is now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death." Rom8:1

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Heb4:16

Pray

3/04/ 08

"My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek." Ps. 27:8

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. " Eph 6:18

Proverbs 15:29 says: "... he hears the prayer of the righteous. "

Dont be discouraged in your prayers... Read this: http://268blog.blogspot.com/2008/03/seoul-rising.html

We are apart of an army all around the world. We are not alone. We speak in many different languages around this earth and we are all heard. So, dont underestimate the power of your prayers no matter how insufficient they may seem to you at the moment. Press on!

THE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL AND AFFECTIVE. James 5:16

3/05/08

Prayer is something you can do - wherever you are, whoever you are - and it has power. You can be the most renowned speaker or a simple house wife. Your age, status, influence or language matters little. It is your FAITH that counts.

Hebrews 11:6 NIV
" And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him Must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

Prayer reaches beyond social, political & physical boundries we cannot cross.
God is not bound by time zones, political or geographical lines.

Ephesians 6:12 NKJ
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

"This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it—the LORD is his name: 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jer 33:2-3 NIV

"For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Eph 1:15-23 NASB

"The Grand Assumption"

" 'DONT ASK WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS. ASK WHAT MAKES YOU COME ALIVE AND GO DO IT. BECAUSE WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS IS PEOPLE WHO HAVE COME ALIVE.' - Howard Thurman... within each us is God-wired uniqueness, something that makes us feel more alive than breath itself. To embrace that uniqueness it is the first step to radiating light.
But it's not enough to simply do what makes us feel alive. We must exploit our uniqueness in a way that broadcasts Jesus, the one name the world can't live without" - (Taken from article "the grand assumption" written by Louie Giglio, CCM magazine, september 2007)

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Col 3:17 NIV

Falling for you...

leelandbanner

A childlike love I had When we first began
We ran and I fell behind I’ve been stuck here all this time
You waited like a lover Who couldn’t let go of his bride
I turned my back away from You Didn’t shed a tear or cry

But I’m falling for You now
I’m coming back to the place where we parted
It’s for real this time
So I’ll be here waiting where we started

My feet were bruised
I tried but I couldn’t fill Your shoes
I went my way I bought the lie
that I was all grown up Didn’t need You in my life

The winter left me cold and frozen Looking for the truth
But searching for the sun I found the place where I met You
It feels so good To be in Your arms
You never left me I just chose to stay behind
I want to thank You for Your love That gives me freedom
To run back, to come back - Falling for You (LEELAND, Opposite Way)

If you haven't heard the album - buy it, you will be blessed.

Feeling insuffient?

"Complete weakness and dependance will ALWAYS be the occation
for the spirit of God to manafest His Power" - Oswald Chambers

(Thanks to Matt Redman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPxdGioax3Q )

Chew on that for awhile.....

"what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him?" ps.8:4

"But God demonstates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, christ died for us." Rom 5:8

... where sin increased grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord" Rom5:20b-21
